The questions shops ask first
What if I lose my phone or tablet?
The app keeps rotating on-device backups automatically, and you can export your whole database to a file anytime. Connect Google Drive and a copy is kept in your own account too — so a lost or dead device just means: reinstall, sign in, and restore.
Can I move to a new device later?
Yes. GarageCodex runs fully on one device, and your data moves with you — restore from a backup file, or straight from your own Google Drive if you connected it. Nothing is locked to our servers (we don't have any).
Do I get updates after buying once?
Improvements and fixes are free. A future major version may be a separate one-time purchase — never a subscription.
Where does my data actually live?
On your device, in a local database — no tracking, and no GarageCodex server ever sees it. Turn on Google Drive backup and a copy goes to your own Google account; we still never see it.
